Debt has always been a part of a person’s life. It comes in different forms like emotional debt and mostly in money. Debt keeps us bound to people in many ways, and it keeps the relationship strong in some way or another. But, debt is also a dangerous thing, and could be the core of hate and dispute between parties.
Out of all kinds of debts, the debt of money is the most dangerous one. It is tested and proven that problems and situations involving money are the most devastating ones. But most people are oblivious to this fact until they are already in the pit of debt.
For instance, using credit cards for most people is the most convenient thing that they could ever have in this world. They just go to a shopping mall, choose things that they want to buy, go to the counter and with a swipe of the credit card – you can have those things instantly in a cash-free transaction. Little they did know that their debt is rapidly piling up – like big boulders hanging up a cliff, ready to crash down directly in their heads.
For a simpler sense, in a typical everyday scenario most people buy necessities in convenience store or small grocery stores because it’s – obviously – one way of convenience than to go to any malls. Of course, when they befriend the shop owner, they could open up a balance bill or debt when they buy goods at that particular store. These speck-like debts will increase – and it will eventually total up like the payment for your tuition fee.
In a larger sense, The United States of America is currently having a critical economic status, because of the recent crisis. Because of what? Excessive use of credit cards, which leads to a national bankruptcy. Now we see the impact of debt in a large scale. What if this happens in all nations?
So, we must be conscious of how we spend and how we handle debts. If possible, avoid having debts. Or more so, treat debt as your enemy.
